We can’t exactly remember how we stumbled upon this local Toronto talent, but we will say this; we have fallen in love. There is a certain quietness to his work that holds us close, gently, like a friendly embrace that gives you an inappropriate erection and then you have to awkwardly pull away, partly because of the boner, and partly because you just don’t want to let go. You feel as though you are witnessing something special when you look at his works. They leave you wanting more, like that guy you dated that you liked way more than he liked you, and then things fell apart when you stalk/called him day and night until he texted you, threatening legal action. The way he captures a mood without using facial expressions gives you liberty to create a dialogue of your own within the photos while controlling the elements left to play with.
We included a selection of our favourites from his series “little wolf: let’s make some memories”. His work is up at the Drake General Store right now until February 1st, and he also has a show coming up soon that is starting in Edmonton, AB and will eventually come to Toronto. He was also interviewed in the last issue of PREFMagazine, the french gay art magazine, which is a pretty big deal we think.
